, Pa. — Although the tristate area isn't in the path of the total solar eclipse, we'll still have a great partial eclipse view from our northeast corner of the United States.

Matamoras Recreation-Airport Park and the Pike County PA 4-H Club will host an eclipse community viewing party from noon to 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 21, at the park, located at 701 Avenue Q in Matamoras, Pa. Admission is free.

The concession stand will be open and "offering great solar specials. The 4H Club will provide materials and instructions to build a solar eclipse viewing device, and a live streaming of the event will be projected on the big screen.

Children and adults are welcome to take advantage of the wide open spaces Airport Park has to offer for perfect eclipse viewing.

"Positive thoughts for a clear, sunny day!" says the invitation.
