— Christine Cordova of Matamoras, Pa., has joined Focus Media in Goshen, N.Y., as a public relations manager.

Cordova assists Focus Media and its clients with public relations and communications matters. By working closely with account executives and senior staff, she contributes to a wide range of content development projects.

She has a background in digital marketing and provides knowledgeable support in many fields, including copywriting, graphic design and social media strategy. Her press releases have been picked up by outlets like Business Insider, the New York Business Journal, and the Washington Business Journal.

Before joining Focus Media, Cordova was the public relations and social media manager at Delta Children Enterprise in Manhattan. There, she provided the third and fourth generations of the family-owned company’s executive team with expert recommendations on the brand’s digital marketing and public relations strategies. Prior to that, Cordova was a social editor at XO Group. The New York City-based company owns three brands, including the leading wedding brand and marketplace, The Knot, as well as its sister brands, The Bump and The Nest.

Cordova earned bachelor of science degrees in advertising and public relations, as well as political communication, with a minor in pre-law studies from Florida Southern College before moving back to the Northeast to begin her professional career in marketing.

“Christine brings a breadth of editorial and digital marketing knowledge, and we’re excited to welcome her to the Focus Media team,” said Focus Media President and CEO Josh Sommers, who launched the public relations company in 2002. “Her established relationships with New York City media are a huge asset to the agency and its clients as we continue to grow.”
