Doris M. Cron of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., dies at age 86

Doris M. Cron, a lifelong resident of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., died on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at Belle Reve in Milford, Pa. She was 86.

Daughter of the late Charles A. and Lillian O. (Smith) Cron, she was born at the Rosencrans Hospital in East Stroudsburg, Pa., on Oct. 27, 1931.

She was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1949.

She attended Churchmans Business School in Easton, Pa., and worked at the Phillipsburg Trust Company and also The Fernwood Resort in Bushkill, Pa. She worked for Lloyd Jones, the Superintendent of Schools & Extension Office for Pike County, for 10 years. She was a legal secretary and was employed by Waltjen, Kayton, Schneider, Levy and Stieh for 22 years. She also worked at Kolmar Labs for attorneys Malbin and R.L. Kole for 7 years and retired in 1992. She was a member for over 50 years at Woodpecker Lake Associationin Dingmans Ferry and served as secretary/treasurer for 11 years.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Leroy C. and Roberta A. Cron of Dingmans Ferry, and nephews, Charles L. and Robert L. Cron of Burbank, Calif.

As per Doris’s wishes, there will be no public service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
