Pike's Peek

Congratulations to readers who recognized the detail in last week's Peek clue.

Doug and Babette Dow write, "This week's photo is the widow's walk atop the grand old Victorian house on the corner of E. High St. and 4th."

Pike County Commissioner Matt Osterberg provides some historical background: "This is 110 East High St. This house was designed and built in 1898 and served as a summer residence for the Armstrong Family until the 1920s. It was then transformed into a exclusive Hotel called the Winsor. In 1941, in became the Judge School for children. In 1972, it was purchased by Lee Palmer. Recently it was purchased by Karl Wagner III and freshly painted and renovated. It is a jewel of Milford Borough Architecture."

It very truly is.

Thank you for playing along.
