Gerard “Jerry” M. Stewart Jr. of Milford, Pa., passed away at home on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, in the presence of his loving wife, Meg. He was 55.

Son of the late Gerard and Phyllis (Starowicz) Stewart Sr., he was born on July 31, 1962, in Elmwood Park, N.J.

He was a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend who had a huge heart, always willing to help others. He was a great cook, and loved all the chipmunks and birds in his backyard. He could also fix almost anything, or he would be determined to figure it out.

He leaves behind his wife, Margaret Stewart (Fivehouse), whom he met in 1998, and have been “partners in crime” with ever since; brother, John Stewart of Elmwood Park, N.J.; and sister, Rose Trevouledes of Muncy, Pa.; nephews, Mark, Jimmy, Ian, Ryan, Nick and Sean; as well as nieces Anna and Tara.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 101 St. Vincent Dr., Milford, on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. John Boyle officiating. There will be a small repast in the church hall after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gofundme/jerrymegfund or one of Jerry’s favorite charities: Pike County Humane Society, Operation Underground Railroad, or FreedomWorks.org.

Arrangements were made by Stroyan Funeral Home, Milford.
