Michael P. Johnston of Milford, Pa., dies at age 52

Michael P. Johnston of Milford, Pa., passed away Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at home, surrounded by love. He was 52.

He was Fleet Management for U.S. General Services Administration stationed at West Point Military Academy, N.Y. Michael was recognized for his valuable service during the response and recovery efforts following the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

He and his family are members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Dingmans Ferry, Pa. He was a proud father and coach for Dingman Delaware Little League.

Son of Garry and Ann (Betza) Johnston, he was born Dec. 8, 1965, in New Brunswick, N.J.

Survivors his wife, Nancy (Catalano) Johnston; son, Joseph Johnston, at home; mother, Ann Johnston of Hillsboro, N.J.; and brother, Matthew Johnston of Boca Raton, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his father, Garry Johnston, on July 27, 2017.

Memorial Services will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Dingmans Ferry, on Saturday, Feb. 3, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Niels Nielsen officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 103 Delaware Crest, Dingmans Ferry, PA 18328; or Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice (karenannquinlanhospice.org); or American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
