— The Milford Enhancement Committee (MEC) is holding a community workshop for about 40 not-for-profit organizations at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, in the Pike County Library, 119 East Harford St., Milford.

The public is invited, and the event is free.

Each organization will have five minutes to present important information about their organization. This is also a networking event for sharing achievements and challenges in the world of nonprofits.

This is the 20th anniversary of the community workshop, and the last one under the Milford Enhancement Committee. The workshop will transition to the Greater Pike Community Foundation, which, according to Maryanne Monte — who chairs both organizations — is a more appropriate home for this very successful event.

Monte is also chair of the grants committee of the foundation. She stresses that donations may be made to various donor designated funds.
