— Robert Heagney, an eighth-grader at Dingman-Delaware Middle School, is the mastermind behind the new Military Honor Wall at the school.

The Honor Wall is a striking display of past and present military personnel who have special connections to our students and staff.

Robert has many family and friends in the military and armed forces. He felt as though these individuals should be recognized in some way, and his project has proved to be a very eye-opening and patriotic memento. Students have learned that many of their peers have loved ones who have or are currently serving, as well as teachers and staff they speak to daily who have served for the freedoms they have today.

The school says, "We are very proud of Robert Heagney for taking on this endeavor and are very appreciative to all the men and women who served and continue to serve our country far and wide!"
