Another drowning death in the Delaware
The body of a 24-year-old New Jersey man who disappeared July 4 while wading in the Delaware River has been found, according to LehighValleyLive.com.
The drowning death of Kevin Galvan of Elizabeth, N.J., has been ruled accidental, according to the news site. He was tubing with friends on a guided trip but was not wearing a life preserver. His body was found last Friday, July 6, near the Kingwood Township boat launch in Bucks County, downriver from his point of entry.
Thirty-nine-year-old Cheeyen Yap of Laurence Harbor, N.J., drowned in the Delaware earlier this season. He was recovered June 2 in Upper Mount Bethel Township after a nine-day search. Yap was also not wearing a life preserver when his canoe capsized near the Monroe/Northampton county line.
Park rangers say no one has ever drowned in the Delaware while wearing a properly fitted life jacket.
