To the Editor:

One of the many issues that State Representative Sid Kavulich was working on before he died last week was the promotion of the steer clear law. Because of his genuine love and concern for others, he was committed to doing all he could to help keep road crews and first responders safe along the road.

In what would be his final visit to PennDOT District 4, Sid stopped by the Dunmore office to see what he could do as a state representative to help promote this important legislation. He regularly met with families that lost a loved one in a roadside crash and expressed the desire to use his position as a state representative to help others.

To honor State Representative Sid Kavulich’s unwavering commitment to promoting road safety for PennDOT crews and first responders, PennDOT will be running Steer Clear messages on all PennDOT message boards across the region from today through Friday. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation owes a debt of gratitude to Representative Kavulich for his unwavering support and his commitment to keeping all of us safe on the roadway.
