Second-grade gymnast wins medals

— The Delaware Valley Elementary School has a medal winner in Gabi Mady, a second-grader in Mrs. Connell’s class.

Miss Mady was interviewed by Jaida Palacios on the DVE-TV morning show. She is a gymnast with Pike Gymnastics Academy. The bars are her favorite event as it takes strength, and she’s got it!

She mentioned that the hardest event is the balance beam. That takes balance and a dismount!

She practices three times a week. On Dec. 2, she competed in the Greater New York Competition. She got second place in the bars, seventh place in the vault, and eighth place all around.

Miss Mady says that gymnastics takes hard work, and it definitely pays off! Congratulations to Gabi Mady!
